Inhalt und Ablauf
Ziel der Veranstaltung ist die praktische Umsetzung und Implementierung stochastischer Modelle und Methoden. Grundlegende Ideen aus der Statistik und des maschinellen Lernens werden motiviert und eingesetzt, um konkrete relevante Probleme zu lösen. Es wird im Wechsel Vorlesung und praktische Übungen am Computer geben. Nach einer Einführung in die Programmiersprache R werden verschiedene Themenblöcke behandelt. Thematische Schwerpunkte sind unter anderem das Erzeugen von Zufallszahlen, Test- und Schätzmethoden, die Simulation stochastischer Prozesse, Klassifikation, Hauptkomponentenanalyse (PCA) und Monte-Carlo-Methoden.
