My name is Friederike Hellwig and I am a research assistant and PhD student at the Department of Mathematics of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in Berlin, Germany. I work at the Numerical Analysis group of Prof. Carsten Carstensen in a project of SPP 1748 of the DFG. Furthermore, my PhD studies are financed through a scholarship granted by the Berlin Mathematical School.

In my research, I am interested in finite element methods in general. In detail, my favorite research topics include dPG FEM, linear elasticity, adaptivity and optimal convergence rates.
