We study the modeling, simulation and optimization of dynamic processes. Our research focusses on the numerical analysis and computation of differential equations under algebraic constraints. It includes differential-algebraic equations, coupled systems of partial differential equations and operator differential-algebraic equations. We use such systems to analyze and predict processes in various applications: the simulation of electronic circuits, the optimization of energy transport systems, the simulation of blood circuits and the analysis of systems of neural systems.
