Time and place of the conference

The conference 'Stability Phenomena in Geometry and Mathematical Physics' will take place from October 9 to October 12, 2018, at HU Berlin. All talks take place in Rudower Chaussee 25, Room 1.115.

Focus of the conference

Topics covered by the conference are:

- Convergence of manifolds, geometric inequalities and stability of geometric structures
- Maximality, completeness and stability in the context of the Einstein equations
- Stability of matter and spectral stability in mathematical physics

The aim of the conference is to bring together experts in those fields to present recent results and to look for unexpected connections between the theories for different types of stability phenomena, in order to increase the range of applications of the methods used.

This conference is partly funded by the SPP2026 (Geometry at Infinity) of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft and by the Walter and Eva Andrejewski-Stiftung.
