Spring School "Structural Inference" 2017

Continuing the series of spring schools in Bad Belzig 2013, Königs Wusterhausen 2014, Sylt 2015 and Brodten 2016, the DFG research unit FOR 1735 "Structural Inference in Statistics" organizes a spring school in Malente, at Lake Keller in the "Holstein Switzerland" (northern Germany).

 

Dates: March, 5 - 10 , 2017

 

Target audience: Ph.D. students and postdocs working in mathematical statistics, machine learning or related areas.

 

Lecturers:

  • Giovanni Peccati (Luxembourg University): Large scale limits of random geometric structures
  • Lorenzo Rosasco (Massachusetts Institute of Technology and University of Genoa): Regularization methods for large scale machine learning
  • Joel A. Tropp (California Institute of Technology): Structured signal processing via convex programming

 

The application deadline is December, 10, 2016.
