This will be a seminar for Master's students. The required prerequisites are
*Topologie I* and *Differentialgeometrie I*;
*Topologie II* and *Funktionalanalysis* are also highly
recommended (concurrent enrollment OK).

The topic of the seminar is one of the most important developments in differential geometry and topology of the last half-century: the Atiyah-Singer index theorem. Our goal will be to understand at least one proof of (some version of) the theorem and explore a few of its applications. A more detailed plan will be posted on this page in early October.
