The Berlin Mathematical School (BMS), is a joint graduate school of the mathematics departments of the three major Berlin universities, and is based at the Department of Mathematics at TU Berlin, being funded within the framework of the German „Initiative for Excellence“.
The department is strongly involved in the DFG Research Center Matheon "mathematics for key technologies", an internationally renown Center of Excellence in which nearly 200 scientists pursue application-oriented and theoretical research.
The department is an integral part of the Einstein Center for Mathematics, being funded by the Einstein foundation Berlin.
Moreover, the Department is involved in the following programs:
The Deutsche Telekom Stiftung supports the ProMINT program, which aims at the improvement of teacher training in MINT studies.
► Lehramsstipendienprogramm "FundaMINT" der Deutschen Telekom Stiftung
► Day of Algebraic and Arithmetic Geometry, May 20, 2016.
Organizers: Prof. Dr. G. Farkas (HU and Prof. Dr. Hélène Esnault (FU)
► Conference "Arakelov theory and automorphic forms. A Conference at the occassion of Jürg Kramer's 60th birthday", June 06-09, 2016.
► Richard von Mises Lecture 2016.

► Crossroads: Conference on Stochastic Analysis and Related Fields.
July 28-30, 2016, Berlin, Germany.
The conference is organized on the occasion of Peter Imkeller’s 65th
birthday and our goal is to discuss recent developments in theory
and applications of stochastic analysis, dynamics and control.
► Workshop on Symplectic Field Theory, August 08-12, 2016.
